A tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd — six guitars, twenty-two anthems, and one unforgettable night of Southern Rock under the wide open sky at Greenhorn Campground.
Skynyrd Nation's logo is set against a pair of eagle wings — a nod to Southern Rock and the American spirit that birthed the music.
Here at Greenhorn, we don't need to put one in a logo. A bald eagle nests in the pines above the lake — and we see him most days at dusk, riding the thermals over the cove where the band will play.
So when SteelHorse Stampede's Johnny D (now fronting Skynyrd Nation) said he wanted to bring the show to Rollins Lake for July 4th — well, the bird had already RSVP'd.
"Lord, I'm coming home to you" — and to a real bald eagle in the pines, on the Fourth of July, at the lake.
A taste of what's coming to the Wagon Wheel stage Saturday night — Johnny D out front, the band in full flight.
Skynyrd Nation is a full-scale recreation of Lynyrd Skynyrd — the undisputed kings of Southern Rock. With unwavering dedication to authenticity, the band delivers the iconic sound, electrifying energy, and soulful storytelling that defined the legendary band.

7:30 PM the lights come up and Johnny D opens with the first chord. Two hours of straight Skynyrd.
Just a few reasons we love throwing a show here.
